Does Cum Affect Teeth?

a hand of woman holding a peeled banana covered in liquid cream.

It’s been over 15 years since I have been watching porn. The most fascinating part? Blowjob — (almost) every man’s dream. Every time I get to see someone (a specific gender) giving a BJ, or heads in informal terms, this always intrigues me. After all, this specific gender is hella serious about hygiene, way ‘over the top’ compared to us, the XY holders.

Since childhood, we have always been warned about sweets. They say this particular chemical-coated food is bad for our teeth. But having sweets is damn exciting, right? But then later in life, we come to experience that every overtly exciting activity throws some kind of tantrums at us, either physically or mentally.

I always wanted to ask this question to a dentist face-to-face.. Being unlucky enough, never got a chance. All the dentists I came across so far are either female or elderly & conservative. If you are based in India or other similar countries, like Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc., you clearly know what the consequences can be if you ask them, face to face, unless they are liberal enough to not carry a perverted image of you back in their minds.

A blowjob can easily be termed as one of the ‘overtly exciting activities’. No matter what age, which generation, or what situation, getting a BJ is always exciting — not only sexually, but mentally as well. Although there is no science-backed data on what % a BJ can lower stress, we all know (somehow) that it’s significant. They say it’s the ‘feel-good cocktail’ — the mixture of:

  • Oxytocin (bonding hormone)
  • Endorphins (natural painkiller of our body)
  • Dopamine (reward chemical)

Enough of these medical terms!

Even without knowing these heavy words, I had that question. After all, a very few XY holders can actually pull their bananas out at that ‘moment’. 97% of the time, that thick white liquid, also known as cum, is going to end up in the mouth.

Reddit! There is no better place on earth to ask these types of questions to actual professionals without facing gazes, facial expressions, and what not! God bless Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian.

So, I opened an account there. Visited the appropriate subs. And posted that intrusive thought.

Does Cum Affect Teeth?

That post was mocked and laughed about, but I got the answer. After all, that was the end goal.

They call me a bit eccentric, quirky, whimsical, and other similar terms. Not only the Reddit folks, but also everyone I came across, from family & friends to colleagues & chai tapri bhaiya. Probably they are right. But it is what it is.

The short answer is:

NO.

CUM is not harmful to your teeth under normal circumstances.

The longer answer, however, is where things get interesting.

What’s Actually There in CUM?

Before we discuss teeth, let’s understand what semen actually contains.

Despite what Pornhub, Sexmex & other XXX platforms may have led some of us to believe, semen is not some mysterious superfluid packed with magical properties.

It’s mostly water.

The remaining portion contains:

  • Proteins
  • Fructose (a type of sugar)
  • Minerals such as zinc
  • Enzymes
  • Amino acids
  • Sperm cells

In fact, sperm cells make up only a tiny percentage of the total volume.

So when semen enters the mouth, your teeth aren’t suddenly facing a chemical attack worthy of a COVID-19 situation.

But what makes semen memorable enough are the acids.

Is Semen Acidic Enough to Damage Teeth?

One of the biggest causes of tooth erosion is ACID.

Soft drinks, energy drinks, citrus juices, and some sports drinks can gradually wear down enamel because of their low pH.

Semen doesn’t really fall into that category.

The average pH of semen is typically slightly alkaline, generally ranging between about 7.2 and 8.0.

That’s important because acidic substances are usually the ones responsible for enamel erosion.

Compared to cola, which can have a pH around 2.5, semen is practically the diplomatic representative of neutrality.

Your enamel is far more threatened by that third can of soda than by semen.

Can Semen Cause Bad Breath?

Hehe!!

Now we’re entering territory where the answer gets slightly more specific.

Semen itself does have a distinct smell and taste. That’s due to its chemical composition, including proteins, minerals, and other organic compounds.

If semen remains in the mouth without rinsing, some people may notice temporary changes in breath odour.

But this isn’t unique.

The same thing happens after eating garlic, onions, coffee, tuna, or approximately half the menu at an airport food court.

A quick rinse with water and normal oral hygiene usually resolves the issue.

Can Semen Cause Oral Health Problems?

So far, from what I’ve found, cum itself doesn’t damage teeth.

However, there is a separate issue worth discussing:

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Certain infections can be transmitted through oral sexual activity, including:

  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia
  • Herpes
  • HPV
  • HIV (under specific circumstances)

Some of these infections can affect the mouth and throat.

That’s not a tooth problem, but it is an oral health consideration.

Basically, when we talk about Blowjob, the Stress Buster, STI transmission is a far more relevant concern than Enamel damage.
